How pdf-to-fax protects your document, your payment, and your data — from upload through delivery and after.
Encryption up to sending
Every connection to this site is encrypted (HTTPS/TLS), and your document stays encrypted at every step we control — while you upload it, while we hold it, and up to the moment your fax is sent.
From that moment the transmission runs over the public telephone network. That last leg is a direct fax connection between two machines and carries no TLS encryption; it is outside our security sphere, and from that point we can have no further influence on how the transmitted data is protected. That is how fax works everywhere, not a limitation particular to this service.
Your payment details
Card details are entered directly on Stripe's own secure payment page. pdf-to-fax own servers never see or store your card number.
Your document
Your uploaded file is used to send the fax, and is then kept for up to 180 days — for one purpose only: so we can show what was actually transmitted if a payment is disputed. After that it is deleted automatically, whether the fax succeeded or failed.
While it is held, it isn't indexed, shared with anyone, or read by anyone at pdf-to-fax. It is never used for anything other than the transmission itself and that evidence.
Where your data is processed
Transaction records are held on EU infrastructure, under German and EU data protection law.
Access control
The admin area used to manage this site's content is password-protected and accessible only to the site operator.
